A fine and quite rare mid 16th Century Oak Coffer having double panel ends and a 4 panel top (two vertical and two horizontal) opening to reveal a spacious interior with candle box including a small secret compartment and original working - lock (key provided) and with two padlock hasps for additional security; the excellently-carved front has four panels each with a different floral design set within circles and demi-circles above three arcaded and carved spandrels.
